san Francisco Fishing Reports 02/07/12

Well it has been interesting fishing the last five days in a row. We were doing very well up through the Super bowl derby on Saturday. Then on Sunday it was like they turned the switch off. We only had a shaker sturgeon. And yesterday we only had a couple of shaker sturgeon. There were 1400 fishermen entered in the Super Bowl derby and I think the pressure shut the bite down. Saturday we had an epic battle with an oversize sturgeon. My fisherman could see the center of the spool by the time I pulled the anchor for the chase. We kept the fish in the water for the release and it was about 10 inches short of an 8 foot rod. I am going to give the fish a few days off and then I will be back chasing them later this week. The tides are good and we are getting some rain so things should be improving. Stay tuned!
