San Francisco Fishing Charters Report 1/16/18

Hey Fishermen,

I just finished up 3 trips in a row. The first 2 days we challenging due to the weather but my guys were troopers. We have very good numbers of sturgeon in our system but as sturgeon fishing goes you have to put a lot of time on them to get your fish keeper. As Erick said after landing his first keeper, “ I have put in over a 100 hours for this keeper”. We have been seeing an above average amount of stripers while sturgeon fishing. We even landed some very large ones that should not be here until March and April. We have been finding success near the Mothball Fleet and Buoy 4 and in the deeper water near buoy 2 and the bridge. Our sturgeon have been taking eel, eel and grass shrimp and all the bass took herring filets. The water temp is up 1.5 degrees from last week. The tides do not seem to be as much a factor now due to the great conditions. The BBQ was working on overtime on the last trip. Hot off the grill Elk, Antelope, Axis deer, Carne Asada and marinade sirloin steak. I have some room this next weekend. Enjoy the photos.
