san Francisco Fishing Reports 02/18/2012

Fellow Sportsmen,                                                  02/18/12

A quick report,

The sturgeon fishing has improved but is up and down. One day we have just shakers and the next we have shakers and a keeper. Two days ago we had shakers, yesterday we had shakers and a 59 inch keeper and today we had shakers. We have been fishing around the Benicia Bridge to Grizzly Bay and near Benicia Buoy. Yesterday John Kelkbrew from El Dorado Hills landed a 59 inch sturgeon near the green Benicia buoy. The best bait is eel grass shrimp combo. Deeper water is producing more fish and the end of the outgoing tide has been the best time for us. I will be back on the water tomorrow through Tuesday. I have some room on Tuesday.

san Francisco Fishing Reports 02/14/2012

Fellow Sportsmen,                                                02/14/2012

Well the last two trips caused me to remember real time sturgeon fishing. We fished deep water and shallow water. We used the top baits, eel and eel and grass shrimp combos. All we could come up with is shakers the first day and zero the second day. We looked at a lot of fish in the system. We fished Buoy 2, Ozol and Grizzly Bay. I have to say there are more fish in the system than normal.  Two days of bringing back the reality of sturgeon fishing. I will be back out working on them for the next 6 days. We are looking at some great tides. I have full loads all the way up to Monday. I have some room on Monday and Tuesday. We can only go up from here. Stay tuned for more reports. Sorry no photo!
